These appointments are pre-bookable only. Telephones are not manned during these extended opening hours, you will be directed to NHS 111.

Sight
For blind or partially sighted patients the receptionist will advise the patient when their appointment is due and then they will be escorted to their appointment. Please advise reception upon arrival if you require assistance. Practice leaflets are available in large print on request.

Hearing
A hearing loop assists deaf patients as well as those with partial hearing without compromising conversation confidentiality. It removes unwanted background noise picked up by a hearing aid.

Language
A touch screen booking in system is in use that allows patients to announce their arrival. This also works in languages other than English. Interpreters can be arranged on request with prior notification. Please note, consultations are generally provided in English unless other arrangements have been made.

Mobility
All our consulting rooms are on the ground floor and the patient entrance has an automated door, to assist patients in wheelchairs or those using other mobility aids.
Telephones are answered between 8.00am – 6.30pm Monday to Friday. Outside of these hours, calls are either transferred to our Out of Hours service (Mastercall) or you will hear a message asking you to dial NHS 111.

111 is the NHS non-emergency number. It’s fast, easy and free. Call 111 and speak to a highly trained adviser, supported by healthcare professionals. They will ask you a series of questions to assess your symptoms and immediately direct you to the best medical care for you.

NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Calls are free from landlines and mobile phones.

In case of a life-threatening emergency, please dial 999.

The nearest Accident and Emergency Department is at Stepping Hill Hospital (tel: 0161 419 4108). Only if you have a serious accident or medical emergency should you go there.
